Now here’s a chart. Well played, Internet.

This was so ignorant that I’m almost left speechless, but I feel like I really need to say three very important things in response to this:

1) It is disgusting that he is openly acknowledging his bigotry, and desire to deny the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to nearly (according to gallup polls) a fifth of our nation’s population. One day I really hope that my daughter (or my grandchildren) will be reading a history book and will find it just as unbelievable that gay americans were denied these basic rights as we find that african americans and women once were. ALL men are created equal, not just the ones who prefer vagina.

2) War on religion?! Religious heritage?! It is laughable that he actually seems to believe this is a Christian nation, when the authors of the Constitution were explicitly against declaring this to be so. I don’t really think that Perry has a good handle on the founding principles of our nation OR of his religion, for that matter. 

3) Uhh, what’s the third one? Fuck bigotry. Fuck pushing your beliefs on people. And… Uhh… The third one… I can’t. Sorry. But please, vote this down and report this video as promoting hate speech. And seriously… if you’re 18+ PLEASE do NOT let this man into the White House. Thank you.

I am not an ignorant hick, and I disapprove of Rick Perry.
